The JPI Oceans Joint Action on Underwater Noise recently held its mid-term meeting on June 20-21, 2023, at the University of Padua, Italy. This gathering marked a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to tackle underwater noise pollution, a key issue for marine ecosystems. Five collaborative projects, including DeuteroNoise, assessed their progress, shared results, and planned for future outreach and stakeholder engagement.
Key outcomes included strengthened collaboration, joint science communication strategies, and plans for an international policy discussion in October 2024.
